“Everyone can have fun with fashion, even with business attire,” fashion consultant Mary Garnett said Tuesday.

The office of student life will sponsor a fashion show at noon Friday in the Fiesta Room of Loftin.

“The theme for this particular show is ‘Candy Land,’ so look for some very loud and flavorful outfits,” said Garnett, fashion show coordinator.

The production will include four designers, three of whom are students at area colleges, including liberal arts sophomore Candace Peterson who attends this college. The fourth designer is Uniqkua Johnson of UJ fashions. Accessories will be provided by Accessorized boutique.

Garnett did not know the names of the other two student designers.

Peterson, an aspiring fashion designer, said, “There will be three showcases of clothing. First, business wear; second, urban wear, and third, the Candy Land-themed attire.”

Eight male and female students from this college will model the clothing. The production is expected to last about one hour with hip-hop music accompanying each showcase.
