The Alamo Community College District board of trustees will meet in for an annual retreat at 8:30 p.m. Saturday in Room 115 of the center for health professions building at St. Philip’s College.

The agenda covers multiple topics on budget, such as a financial and budget overview, a presentation highlighting the budget, improving student success and measuring key performance indicators

Other items for consideration include acceptance of the letter of resignation from Trustee Charles Conner, District 7, an amendment of the 2009-10 tuition schedule for international students and approval of appointment of more administrators.

Dr. Ines Joseph is up for approval by the board of trustees as the vice president of college services at Palo Alto College.

Gary O’Bar Jr. will be considered for appointment as the district director of purchasing, a position which was previously downgraded from associate vice chancellor for administrative services after Linda O’Nave’s retirement.

These positions are senior administrative appointments and, after approval, their salaries will reflect Fiscal Year 2009-10 budget amounts for the respective positions.

During Fiscal Year 2009, as the district director of acquisitions and administrative services, O’Nave’s salary was listed at $151,857.60. As the vice president of college services Ruben Flores’ salary was $104,339.04.

The board retreat is taking the place of the regularly scheduled November meeting. The next regular board meeting will be held Dec. 15 at George Killen Center at 201 W. Sheridan.
