April 6-8 mock registration designed to iron out system errors before student enrollment.

Students will register through the new Banner/Student Services system for fall beginning April 19. Although training for the new system is ongoing, officials said they expect class schedules to be entered in time for a mock registration April 6-8. Full story

Ranger Mascot

Director pushes for new college mascot

A mascot could be selected this semester to represent this college, particularly as a character dressed up at athletic events. But the student life director doesn’t want it to be a ranger. During a Presidents Roundtable meeting Feb. 25, Tyler Archer, assistant coordinator of student leadership and activities, announced that the Student Government Association was changing the college mascot and each club would need to choose two designs. Students can enroll concurrently at more than one of the Alamo Colleges and pay tuition and fees as if they were enrolling in only one of the five colleges.

Communication center offers help

The Strain Communication Center offers students the opportunity to record their oral classroom presentations and allows instant viewing of the recording to help students see the strengths and weaknesses in their performances.
